Hit-5 new song!

Ok this is so cpop/mandopop sounding and I love it! I mean, it's about time Hit-5 came back to the mandopop world after all that kpop sounding songs. I love them and all, but their new song Loving You in Every Second (爱在每一秒) finally shows the mandopop side of them. And the lyrics are soo sweet. It has been released especially for all the couples in love for Valentine's Day. Hope there's an MV to come. Hit-5, Jia You!

The green bee..

No, The Green Hornet!! Haha, just an example of the rich kid getting treated by the azn mechanic (aka Jay Chou) from the Green Hornet movie. Julia and I just saw that yesterday, and the movie as a whole wasn't the best movie of the year (although it is only January), but the scriptwriter has an awesome sense of humor. Jay Chou keeps randomly speaking Chinese and when he got kicked out of the house of the girl who I thought he liked, he was like "I got screwed over by that idiot" in Chinese hahaha. I wish they had shown that part in subs because it was hilarious. And it would've been cool if there was an OST sung by Jay Chou or something that displayed his talents. In conclusion: The Green Hornet-If you are a Jay Chou fan, it is a must-see movie.

Will Pan "Most Wanted" MV

Will Pan has a new album out called "808" and so is the MV for his title track (I think) called 全面通缉 Most Wanted. I only found out about this today when I was surfing YouTube. I wish I could find a blog or a site that archives Cpop and Mandopop news like Allkpop or Tokyohive because there's 1.3 billion people in China plus 2.3 million in Taiwan so I'm guessing there's a ton of artists. I recently discovered probably 15-20 really good Cpop/Mandopop artists who I have never heard of before because there is like no place to find them. Except the Cfensi forums, but they're forums and not an official archive so it's not as complete. I dont read Chinese well so Baidu isn't really an option :P Well I guess there's at least motivation to learn now. Anyways, check out the MV below. Will Pan never disappoints ;)

Hit-5 pic spam!

I don't usually do pic spams but I stumbled upon a few really cute/pretty Hit-5 pics and realized I should compile them. What better place than the blog where I blab about anything and everything Asian?

So here goes:

1. Duan Huangwei (David)
If I woke up every morning to see this smile I think it would make my day.

Now I know why they call him Prince Duan. I think I'm just going to refer to him as "Prince" from now on. Love his style too.

2. Gao Yu (Kido)
This is my destiny right here. That coat is friggin' awesome. Oh and the guy's cute too ^^ jk Kido pwns, he's got good taste.

Kido makes me lol hahaha. Mashimaro!!

3. Yang Fan (Evan, Fan)
When is Fan not pretty?

Ok this is an epic photo. Along with the one below it. Two of my favorite pictures ever XD

Above: Prince and Feng. Below: 4. Dong Yufeng (Xiao Feng)

5. Guo Ziyu (Gking)
And last but not least, the Gking. Yep, the king with the tiny ponytail tied in a pink ribbon. You'd never guess he's the leader and rapper of the group.

Well.

Sherry says I don't post that much. I post. Sometimes.

Well anyways, my mom blocked Youtube on my computer and said that if I wanted to watch a video, we could watch it together. Yeah right. She blocked Youtube and Safari on my Ipod too. (TT^TT). At least I found an alternative web browser on my Ipod so I can still browse without her stupid filter. Ugh. She's so uptight. She was on my back about how I was so unproductive... during winter break. THAT'S THE REASON WINTER BREAK EXISTS!!! So we can slack off freely.

And, she uninstalled Maplestory. MAPLESTORY. That thing was my sole source of entertainment after she got rid of all of the sites that are FUN. GOSH I am so frustrated and bored. This hasn't even helped my productivity anyways. Now, when I'm bored, instead of going on Facebook, I mope around and stare at the ceiling. Sigh. I'm gonna go do that now...

Happy late new year and everything

Had a nice holiday everyone? Good for you because I didn't. Well I kind of did. I got to sleep ten hours a day, but now that I'm back in school I feel like I'm half-awake. During the art slideshow today in history, I fell asleep and almost fell out of my chair. I mean, falling asleep during the slideshow really isn't anything new since I have never made it through any of them so far this year, but I've never gotten into trouble with gravity before. :P And now that school's started again I have to worry about my computer programming grade because I am almost positive that I failed the final. I didn't even have time to figure out a working program for any of the prompts he gave us, so I kind of just wrote down the first program that popped into my head. Which was apparently testing an integer between 2 and 1000 to see if it is prime or not. Wtf. Yeah so I'm kinda worried about that class.

Anyways, onto happier thoughts. Or more interesting ones, whatever. I was going through some of my favorite YouTube beatboxers the other day and found that Hikakin did a remix of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance. A lot of people have said it might be better than the Gaga herself. See and judge for yourself.

Dang this guy is good.

Oh and Hit-5 came out with two new music videos over the holiday. One is Running, which they performed at the Twelfth Annual China-Korea Music Festival, and the other is Afraid of You (Pa Le Ni) feat. Girl's Day Minah. They've improved a lot since their debut. If Allkpop had them as a choice on their end of the year polling for most improved band, I totally would've chosen them. Some people have been criticizing the Afraid of You MV, saying it's copying kpop and whatnot, but I think it's fine the way it is, sweet and simple. Plus, people should that they have been trained in Korea and have/have had Korean composers and stylists. Very kpop influenced. All analyzations aside, check them out:

TREATED

If you haven't heard, Hangeng won his year-long lawsuit against SM entertainment because they are ungrateful jerks, to say the least. When artists becomes recognized internationally and money starts pouring in for the company, the company should at least take care of them. What kind of company doesn't let a singer go home for two years, doesn't let him rest when he's being overworked, or speeds up I.V. dripping to the point that it probably could have killed the poor guy? He ended up with chronic throat and stomach problems. Thank God Hangeng left. Doesn't he look so much happier and cuter here? Of course I wish he could go back to SuJu, but I'd much rather see him alive. I wonder how many other SM artists want to sue their company.

YO PEOPLE

Hey. I don't really have anything to say. I'm just bored. Actually, that's not true. I have six finals I could be studying for. Well five, really. One is computer programming and it's open notes, open internet. At least it has been for past quizzes, so I hope it stays the same. I don't feel like studying for finals right now. Or practicing for my piano recital, which is in two days. Gosh I'm whiny. Too bad I go to a nerd school. Now I know why they say ignorance is bliss.

Jang Dong Gun vs Jay Chou

The Warrior's Way is coming out next week I think, or something, and SHINee's Obsession track is going to the be theme song for the movie. And that reminded me that The Green Hornet ft. Jay Chou is coming out in January and I wonder if any of his songs are going to be used in the movie. I hope so because it's such a pity otherwise. Jay Chou is a freakin' musical genius and if he's going to be recognized in the U.S., music should at least part of it. The Green Hornet was supposed to come out January of this year, but they decided to make it 3D. Whatever, if the 3D effects are good, then it will be worth it.

What's with Hollywood's sudden interest in da azns? There are two movies starring Asian actors coming out within a month of each other [although it was really supposed to be a year]. First Taiwan, now Korea. It's really funny how both Asian actors are so stereotypical. For starters, Jay Chou wears red a ton in the movie. Then the Korean dude's like some samurai [which, btw, is Japanese for all the white folks out there] and the Taiwanese guy's a modern day combination of a ninja and Bruce Lee. Oh and, Rain was also a ninja in Ninja Assassin. Is Hollywood not aware that there are other types of martial arts besides the traditional Japanese ones? Geez. Either way, I'm curious to see which one comes out better.

Agents of Secret Stuff

Everyone knows who nigahiga is right? Good. He and Wongfu (maybe it's WongFu... whatever, it's the thought that counts) Productions have made an AWESOME movie. I'm not gonna embed the video here because you have to have the youtube website surrounding it to experience the whole deal. Or I just don't wan't to spend effort getting the code. Either one (I prefer the first BTW).

And I agree completely about the Big Bang comeback!!! Dude, allkpop.com has absolutely NOTHING exciting in their featured news things. It's freaking depressing. I was looking forward to seeing some exciting news on allkpop.com for the Thanksgiving weekend but nooo... I get to see something about SNSD in Japan. JAPAN. Not KOREA. RAWR.

But Thanksgiving was fun. My dad had some students over, and since they were all Asian, we got to teach them about Thanksgiving lol. So fun. Did I mention that I have just discovered that I make killer stuffing? Yummm.
